FCCLA & Our Mission

FCCLA's goal is to enhance personal growth and leadership skills through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Members learn important life skills such as character development, critical thinking, effective communication, practical knowledge, and career and technical preparation through their roles as family members, wage earners, and community leaders.

What do you do in FCCLA?

In FCCLA, we engage in a variety of activities aimed at personal growth and development through the lens of Family and Consumer Sciences. As members of this organization, we have the opportunity to compete in various competitive events, attend conferences and chapter meetings, and participate in community service projects. Through these activities, we gain valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork, and public speaking that help us excel not only in FCCLA but also in other aspects of our lives. Competing in events allows us to showcase our talents and knowledge in areas like culinary arts, fashion design, or public speaking. Attending conferences exposes us to new ideas, networking opportunities, and provides a platform to interact with other members from across the state or even the country. This not only expands our knowledge but also helps us develop lifelong friendships. And let's not forget about the satisfaction of giving back to society through community service. Participating in projects and fundraisers allows us to make a positive impact, bringing joy and support to those in need. Overall, FCCLA offers us a holistic experience, blending education, personal growth, and service, making it an invaluable part of our lives.
